Tamana was the first Special Accredited Center (SAIED) Of National Open School in 1999.
Tamana has the accreditation to run the following programmes of NIOS :-
Open Basic Education ( levels 3, 5, and 8)
Secondary Education
Senior Secondary Education
The NIOS programme besides catering to the differently abled, also caters to economically disadvantaged youth and school dropouts. Tamana also has accreditation to run vocational programmes of NIOS.
It is accredited to run the following vocational programs:-
Bakery and confectionery
Laundry Services
Housekeeping
Food Processing
Data Entry
Beauty, Culture and hair care
Non Tamana students also utilize this facility. For non Tamana students the classes are held every Saturday from 9 am- 1 pm.
Our centre is also the examination centre of NIOS. NIOS conducts exams twice in a year i.e. March/April and October/November.
